Whether you’re a surfing pro or a complete novice, North Devon is the perfect place for a surfing holiday.

Just this week our area was awarded ‘World Surfing Reserve’ status alongside surfing icons such as Malibu in California, and Australia’s Manly Beach. There are only 12 such surfing reserves in the WORLD!

If you are yet to to give surfing a try then you’re missing out! Here’s our pick of the best surfing beaches and surf schools.

Westward Ho! is the home of @northdevonsurfschool . Teaching surfing since 1988 and located just 50 metres from the huge sandy beach this is a popular choice for beginners.

Bude has a huge choice of surf schools due to its selection of stunning sandy beaches. We recommend @bigbluesurfschool who have been teaching for 20 years. Bude is also just a fab place to visit!

Slightly further afield also try @surfsaunton and @surfingcroyde
